Our Story
We’ve been rethinking insurance since 2015
We are Thinksurance – an up-and-coming technology company. Our aim is to rethink insurance and, in doing so, shift the focus back to policyholders and their risks. To that end, we’ve developed a platform that will fully digitalized the development and distribution of commercial and industrial insurance policies as well as the provision of advisory and support services for those policies. With the aid of experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts, Florian and Christopher therefore launched “Gewerbeversicherung24” in 2015 – a platform for companies looking for insurance.
Gewerbeversicherung24 becomes Thinksurance
The growing team quickly realized that it was breaking new ground in technology with incredible potential for more efficient and transparent advice, so they decided to make this technology available to others – from then on, they no longer focused on insurance advice, but instead on providing the underlying technological support for those advisory services. The result: Thinksurance – the leading platform for trade and industrial insurance.
All signs point to growth
Since we were first founded, we have secured growth capital totaling around EUR 20 million, including funding from prominent investor Eight Roads Ventures in 2019. And that’s why we’re nowhere near finished: Since 2020, we have grown from around 40 employees to around 120 at present. In the same year, we digitalized the first industrial insurance policies and will focus on further developing our technology and redefine the way we think about insurance.

That platform makes it even easier, faster and more effective for insurers, brokers and policyholders to exchange information. It’s based on state-of-the-art technologies that are constantly evolving and further developing the user base through the use of data analytics and artificial intelligence.

With the help of the Advisory Suite and Coverage Suite, we help brokers and insurers navigate the entire value creation process of commercial and industrial insurance. Brokers cover the entire advisory and support process digitally on our platform – from needs analyses, tenders and rate comparisons through to contract signing: they manage each and every process digitally.
